The first of a biennial fundraiser for Berkeley Art Center, over 100 talented artists will be invited to contribute work to this special exhibition and silent auction. More details forthcoming! In collaboration with Pro Arts and Richmond Art Center, Berkeley Art Center will be showcasing Berkeley-area artists participating in this year’s East Bay Open Studios.

Artists confirmed include Gale Wagner, Squeak Carnwath, Jim Melchert, Robert Brady, Livia Stein, and Katherine Sherwood. Co-curated by Richard Whittaker. This promises to be a surprising and dynamic exhibition exploring the interplay of the work of a vital and unique collection of East Bay artists.

JURIED@BAC has earned a reputation as a prestigious regional competition and resource for curators and gallery dealers seeking emerging and extraordinary artists working in a variety of media. This year's exhibition will accept entries from artists working in all media, and is open to any artist living and working in California. Jurors TBA.
Intimate Nature

Intimate Nature will involve artists that work obsessively to chronicle, preserve, and express the beauty of nature, and also highlight local artists/activists that are working in the social movement field to affect environmental change and awareness through the arts.

An annual tradition, Berkeley Art Center’s members showcase includes work in all media from Berkeley Art Center’s artist level members, presented in the center’s beautiful gallery space nestled in Live Oak Park. Featuring a wide array of perspectives and varied levels of accomplishment, this exhibition celebrates the diversity and vibrancy of our cultural community.
