Gay Outlaw

Saturday, September 24, 2011, 4pm

Gay Outlaw takes all manner of material - rubber, cardboard, wood or glass - to create abstract shapes setting the stage for shifting patterns which undermine and challenge our assumptions of form and space. With a sense of play and whimsy, Outlaw subverts our notions of floor and wall, open and closed, shadow and illusion. In work which pushes the abstraction of photography and questions the weight of sculpture, she leads us through an unveiling of reflection and artifice, thought and conceit.
