Berkeley Art Center celebrates its 45th year anniversary this year with a host of amazing exhibitions and programs that highlight this very unique creative community!

Our current exhibition, Terrain, is a stunning, meditative exhibition of abstract landscapes. Our bi-annual exhibition/auction Collect! comes back in the summer featuring a dynamic, invited group of accomplished local artists. Local Treasures also returns in Fall of 2012 with a focus on artists that work in the ceramic medium.

With this anniversary, Berkeley Art Center is also upgrading its facility with new refinished flooring by Tulip as well as other important upgrades, supported by the Rotary Club of Berkeley, who was responsible for the construction of Berkeley Art Center in 1967! Additionally, the center is in the process of adding a part-time program assistant to the staffing structure to further accommodate our growth and promote our visibility.

We will be hosting special programs to commemorate this 45th anniversary year that  include artist studio dinners and a celebratory event in conjunction with Local Treasures in the Fall which will include guests from the Berkeley Art Center’s remarkable past in this community.
