Participate in and learn more about the VTS facilitation method created by noted educator Philip Yenawine and Harvard trained cognitive psychologist Abigail Housen, while viewing work in Berkeley Art Center’s JURIED@BAC: Works on Paper exhibition. Featuring 18 artists working in a wide and varied range of styles and processes, this will be a unique chance to engage in interesting and fun discussions about art using this effective and versatile inquiry-based discussion method. The event will begin with a short reception, followed by an introduction to the process, participatory exercises demonstrating the inquiry method in action while examining works of art, and a post-tour discussion with some of the artists in the exhibition. Learn more about ways to view and teach the visual arts in the intimate setting of the Berkeley Art Center. Event is free of charge, however, space is limited, so RSVP today by calling 510.644.6893 or sending a short e-mail to suzanne [at] berkeleyartcenter.org. Preference given to Berkeley Art Center members. |
