Civic Art Exhibition Call for Entries The Civic Art Exhibition is an opportunity for Berkeley-based visual artists (must either live and/or work in Berkeley) to submit works for consideration to be viewed in a year-long exhibition at the Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center building at 2180 Milvia, Berkeley. The call for entries, jury and installation is co-organized by Berkeley Art Center and Kala Art Institute, and is made possible through the Civic Arts Program, Office of Economic Development. Approximately 30 artists will be selected through an open juried competition that includes an honorarium of $150 for each selected artist and a purchase prize of up to $3,000. Artwork selected will be exhibited in the Berkeley Martin Luther King Civic Center Building, 2180 Milvia Street, distributed throughout public areas on five floors. We are thrilled to have the participation of two superb regional arts professionals for our annual juried exhibition, entitled RISK. Artists are invited to explore the theme in all its rich associative context, and encouraged to be daring in approach. Artist-level members of Berkeley Art Center may submit images (up to 5) free of additional fees, non-artist members are required to submit a nominal fee, as noted in the call. Or, become an artist-level member today and submit to this exhibition fee-free, as well as enjoy all the benefits of a year-long membership!
