Berkeley Art Center celebrates its rich history of 50 Years!

Designed by Robert Ratcliff Architects in 1967, the Berkeley Art Center was built by the Rotary Club of Berkeley as a gift to the City of Berkeley. Ever since, the BAC has been a cutting-edge art gallery, presenting the work of talented local and regional artists in many media, expressing diverse points of view.

As we gear up to celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2017, we are proud of our role in the community. Over the past five decades we have presented exhibitions that reflect and shape what is happening now. We still seek to inspire positive cultural change by nurturing artists and encouraging our community to participate in creative expression.
