EXHIBITION SCHEDULE 2008

January 30 - March 9 Opening reception: January 30th, 5 -7 pm	Youth Arts Festival Sixteenth annual exhibition of artwork from Berkeley K-12 public school students. Various music events and performances for children scheduled throughout the festival.
March 16 - April 27 Opening reception: March 16th, 2 - 4 pm	Loom & Lathe: The Art of Kay Sekimachi and Bob Stocksdale A survey of work by distinguished fiber artist, Kay Sekimachi and internationally known wood turner Bob Stocksdale. The exhibition will include woven pieces and several paper and mixed media works by Sekimachi and turned wooden vessels by Stocksdale. An accompanying catalogue will be published.
May 4 - June 22 Opening reception: May 4th, 2 - 4 pm	Home EC Contemporary artists examine changing perspectives on caring for the home (interior design, cooking, DIY) from the 1950s to today
June 29 - August 17 Opening reception: June 29th, 2 - 4pm	Finalists from Fall Members' Showcase (title TBD) A small group or solo exhibititon of art by selected finalists from the previous Members' Showcase (December '07 - January '08)
August 24 - October 12 Opening reception: August 24th, 2 - 4 pm	National Juried Exhibition Submission deadline: June 11, 2008 Jurors: JoAnne Northrup, Senior Curator, San Jose Museum of Art and Catherine Clark, Catherine Clark Gallery (San Francisco, CA.) Media: Painting, mixed media (not on paper) and sculpture. Artists selected for exhibition will enjoy national recognition and be eligible for cash prizes. All current BAC Artist Members are entitled to one free entry (maximum five images.)
October 22 - 26	Small Film Festival Submission deadline: August 29, 2008 (postmark) A juried and invitational festival, selected entries will be screened publicly over five nights. Jurors to be announced.
November 2 - December 7 Opening reception: November 2nd, 2 - 4 pm	Loss: Works from the Bay Area Photographers' Collective Photographs from the Bay Area Photographers Collective (BAPC) conveying varied senses of loss: death, destruction and abandonment.
December 14 - January 25, 2009 Opening reception: December 14th, 2 - 4 pm	Members' Showcase Submission Deadline: December 10, 2007 All current BAC Artist Members may submit one work of art to this exhibition
